Original GM Ignition Parts

Your factory GM ignition system creates the spark your vehicle needs to start running under its own power. How does your ignition work? When you turn your key, your ignition switch activates. This sends a small current through a starter solenoid and draws high voltage from your car battery via an ignition coil. The electrical charge then gets distributed to the system's spark plugs, which are attached to the combustion chambers in the cylinder head. Each spark plug captures the electricity in turn, with help from your engine's camshaft or crankshaft. By now, a starter motor has cranked your engine. The "spark" the process creates ignites the fuel-air mixture in the engine cylinder's combustion chambers. That produces the power your vehicle needs. The entire process takes place in time with engine pistons pumping. A timing mechanism or, in some cases, electronic controls, help keep all the related auto parts working in sync. If your car won't start, you can't turn your key, the car stalls, your dash lights flicker, or the starter motor doesn't activate, these are signs you may have a bad ignition. Luckily, our auto parts department has the original GM ignition parts you need to replace in order to repair the system. Order now, right here on the Web!
